Construction method:
Opening: Clean the opening. The surface to be coated with sealant should be cleaned of scattered debris, dust, oil stains, frost, and wax, and kept dry.
Construction of fire prevention system:
1. According to the testing report requirements of relevant standards, fill the backing material (such as mineral wool) to the minimum thickness requirement and leave enough thickness for applying sealant to achieve a considerable fire resistance time.
2. Application of fireproof sealant: In order to achieve the desired fireproof effect, please apply the specified thickness to ensure that the sealant is in contact with the surface of the pipe substrate, in order to obtain maximum adhesion
3. Smooth the fireproof sealant: For better results, please immediately smooth the surface. For excessive adhesive, tools can be used to remove it with water before it hardens.
4. Please keep the interface intact for 48 hours after construction to complete the curing process.
5. If necessary, install identification stickers in a prominent location next to the fireproof sealing area as identification marks for later maintenance.
